Satisfied's Thoughts:
I received my BA in 2003 and my MA in 2009 from Fresno Pacific. I attended classes in the evenings, in a cohort format. The coursework required me to think, to integrate what I was learning into my life, my worldview, my filter through which I viewed and processed my surroundings. Faculty cared about the students, and made themselves very available to students. It was difficult to fail - not because they "dumbed down" the curriculum, but because the faculty tried so hard to make a connection with the students and reach us where we were. I enjoyed this approach to the integration of theory with practice, in the roles of both the teacher and the student. Although the evening programs are relatively quick (13-18 months), they are not a "quick fix" to completing one's degree. You must be willing to invest yourself fully in the educational process. If you "just want a piece of paper," this is not the place for you. If you want a high quality education that will challenge you relationally, spiritually, intellectually and practically, give FPU a shot. I understand that they now have BA completion and MA programs in Fresno, Bakersfield, and Visalia, and they are the only regionally accredited Christian school in all of Central California.
