A new program, My Degree Now, launched by the Community College of Philadelphia will help students with degree completion for those who already have 30 credits or more. Thanks to a personal, anonymous donation the program will help students finish what they started by helping on the financial side.
Philadelphia Mayor, Michael Nutter, has also pledged to improve degree completion rates in the city of Philadelphia overall. Community College of Philadelphia’s new program will help the city work towards that goal of improving the local higher education system.
Hopefully, other schools and colleges will be able to offer similar programs to help existing students earn their degrees.
